Congress fields Suresh Patel against Advani

Ahmedabad: The Congress on Tuesday fielded its Kalol MLA Suresh Patel against senior BJP leader L K Advani from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.

"We have decided to give ticket to a local leader against Advaniji. Our two-time MLA from Kalol Suresh Patel will contest Lok Sabha elections from the seat," Gujarat Congress spokesman Arjun Modhvadia said here.

The BJP's prime ministerial candidate is a four-time MP from Gandhinagar.
